Serious concerns on proposed motions to be voted on, at Fridays’ AGM

Concerns over motions to be voted on during business on the day at the APS 2018 Elections. The motions concerned involve changes to the constitution so they require a 75% in favour vote in order to be passed. RAPS urges members to either attend the AGM in Sydney and vote against these constitutional changes or assign a proxy to someone who will vote against the changes.

Reactions to the APS Medicare MBS Submission

RAPS had asked people to write to the Australian Psychological Society and to politicians about the APS August 2018 ‘presentation’ submission to the Medicare Benefits Schedule Review Reference Group. Here are some of the responses we have received to that request, there are many more! The APS CEO Frances Mirabelli is replying to members concerns by calling what was an actual “Submission” only a “Proposal”.
